Thursday January 21, 2021 – Happy Blackjack Day.

It’s the 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century. So, we figured we’d celebrate by writing a blog. Fun, right?

The PGA Tour continues their West Coast swing this week with the American Express (formerly known as the Desert Classic). Hosted by Phil Mickelson, the tournament is headlined by Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler, Matthew Wolff, Patrick Reed, Gary Woodland, Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau.

The tournament is being played at PGA West in La Quinta, California and the 156-man field will be competing for a $6.7 Million purse.

The tournament has a different look in 2021. Traditionally a pro-am, there is no “amateur” component this year. Also, there are no fans in attendance. Why? California. Thanks, Gavin.

What To Watch For

Brooks made headlines earlier in the week when asked about his goals for the 2021 season.

“A couple wins and a couple majors.”

Is this the ultimate golf douchebag move or the confidence needed to propel him back to the top of the world rankings? Time will tell.

How To Watch

You can catch the action on Golf Channel from 3:00 – 7:00 PM EST Thursday – Sunday.
