Saturday January 30, 2021 – How was your Friday? Chances are it was a little bit better than our boy, Brooks.

Let’s start with a disclaimer. We’re team Brooks through and through. So, everything we’re about to say is done so with love.

The Take

Brooks isn’t on what you would call a heater.

For the first time in his professional career, he’s missed 3 consecutive cuts. And, to make matters worse, he made headlines Friday for an errant tee shot that somehow landed in a shoe in the back of a golf cart at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Sure, he would have liked to end up in the fairway, but landing it in a “hole” from 300-yards out epitomizes accuracy if we’re being honest. The best part of the shot? Brook’s commentary.

Brooks Koepka's tee shot lands in a shoe.

“I ain’t sticking my hand in there. You can grab it out of your nasty-ass shoe.”

We don’t blame him tbh. A quick google search showed that athlete’s foot isn’t just found on feet.

…regardless, he went on to make par.

Not that we want to keep piling on, but the following quote hasn’t aged too well. We wrote about it here. But, in short, Brooks responded with the following when asked about his goals for the 2021 season.

“A couple wins and a couple majors.”

Will he rebound? Yes, it’s only January.

As someone wise beyond their years once said, “The sun’ll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there’ll be sun.”
