Wednesday December 9, 2020 – We’re always down for a solid game while on the course. Shit, it’s quite literally the inspiration for the Side Games we run on a monthly basis. So, it’s a nice change of pace when the PGA Tour mixes it up a little bit. Especially this time of year.
The QBE Shootout, held at Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida is doing just that. Hosted by Greg Norman, the tournament features 12 two-man teams that will play a different game each day. Specifically, the teams will take part in a scramble, modified alternate shot, and best-ball over the 3-day event.
Teams & How To Watch The QBE Shootout
You can catch the action on Golf Channel Friday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST and Saturday from 1:00 – 5:00 PM EST. Sunday’s broadcast will be aired on NBC from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST.

The field boasts 15 players in the Top 50 of the world rankings. So, we don’t quite know what to expect. But if we’re being honest, we just hope that Greg’s “shark” doesn’t make another appearance.
Are you a degenerate that’s still going to bet this week?
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. This is a judgment-free zone. You gotta do what you gotta do to put presents under the Christmas tree. We get it. Our job is to simply give you some sort of false confidence when it comes to putting your hard-earned money on the line.
If you’re looking for a team that’s done it on the biggest of stages, look no further than Bubba and Louis. In total, the field has 3 Major championships to their name, all of which belong to these guys. Do they have the chemistry needed to win this type of event? No freaking clue. But, a Major is a Major is a Major.
If you’re looking for a proven track record in this event, you might feel good about taking Kevin Na & Sean O’Hair. Yeah, it’s not a sexy pick, but they’ve got 2 QBE Shootout victories to their name.
But, if it was do-or-die, our money’s on Matthew Wolff and Abraham Ancer. Not only are they young enough to where these games are probably still part of their routine, but they also have the highest combined world ranking of any team: 14th (Wolff) and 23rd (Ancer).
Good luck and #workitbothways.
